Remembering Kelli

In the spring of 2010, the world lost a brave 10-year-old girl after a difficult battle with cancer. Kelli Hutchison inspired her friends both young and old to be courageous and never give up. To remember and honor her,  Kelli’s friends host a 5 Kilometer (3.1 miles) walking and running event at the Windham High School in Windham, Maine. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Kelli Hutchison Memorial Playground in anticipation of future growth, Windham/Raymond school district for activity fees and Nolan Cyr, a local boy battling cancer.

Come Run and Walk with Us

Kelli’s 5K offers something for everyone. From the young to the experienced, from off-trail running to on-road walking. Two courses will be running simultaneously starting at 9 am.

The first is a challenging, timed 5-kilometer trail run using the Windham High School Cross Country Course. This course has a rolling terrain, a series of bridges, river views and a steep rooty climb that will leave you scrambling to catch your breath!

The second course is a non-timed, walkathon around the Windham High School Campus. A great walk for kids and family in safe, non-traffic, environment.

Both courses finish on a grassy knoll overlooking the high school and everyone is welcome to join in to enjoy refreshing beverages and treats. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female trail runners and every participant is eligible for many raffle drawings.
