Maine’s Basketball AA Division
The Eagles are placed in the Maine Basketball AA North which consists of teams from Portland, Cheverus, Deering, Lewiston, Oxford Hills, Edward Little, and Bangor. The AA South consists of teams from Scarborough, Bonny Eagle, South Portland, Thornton Academy, Noble, Gorham, Sanford, and Massabesic. The regular season consists of 18 games starting in December and going into February.
The Eagles are also a part of the Southwestern Maine Activities Association (SMAA) which is composed of seventeen high schools located in Cumberland and York Counties. Current member of the conference is Biddeford, Bonny Eagle, Cheverus, Deering, Falmouth, Gorham, Kennebunk, Maine, Girls’ Academy, Marshwood, Massabesic, Noble, Portland, Sanford, Scarborough, South Portland, Thornton Academy, and Westbrook. SMAA schools compete in Southern Maine Class A, and conference champions are crowned annually in seventeen sports.
